Accessing the Time Clock Admin Menus Follow
To access the User Management menu or Time Clock Management menu on the time clock, you will need a role with the necessary permissions enabled along with a PIN, RFID Badge, or fingerprint.
Enable permissions for the User Management menu:
- Log into the CloudPunch web portal as an account administrator.
- Click on Roles in the side menu.
- Go to the Supervisor or Employee section.
- Set the User Management permission:
- Set to View Only to allow users to see the users in the User Management menu. They will not be able to add fingerprints.
- Set to Add/Update to allow users to add user fingerprint templates and profile images.
- Click the ellipsis to set the scope:
- Set to All to allow the user to view all users on the account.
- Set to Departments to allow users to see users who have home departments listed in their responsible departments.
- Set to Individual to allow users to view only their information.
Enable permissions for the Time Clock Management menu:
- Log into the CloudPunch web portal as an account administrator.
- Click on Roles in the side menu.
- Go to the Supervisor or Employee section.
- Set the Time Clock Management permission:
- Set to View Only to allow users to view the device ID, software version, and time and date of the last update.
- Set to Add/Update to allow users to connect to your network, update the time clock software, upload the time clock database, and adjust the time clock settings.
Access the User Management menu:
- Authenticate at the time clock:
- Tap the screen and enter your personal PIN or the time clock admin passcode.
- Scan your Badge.
- Scan your fingerprint.
- If using your personal authentication method, tap Dashboard.
- Tap User Management.
- (Depending on your permissions) From here you can:
- Select or search for a user.
- Sync users.
- Add fingerprint templates for users.
- Add profile images for users.
- Tap the Power icon to log out.
Access the Time Clock Management menu:
- Authenticate at the time clock:
- Tap the screen and enter your personal PIN or the time clock admin passcode.
- Scan your Badge.
- Scan your fingerprint.
- If using your personal authentication method, tap Dashboard.
- Tap Time Clock Management.
- (Depending on your permissions) From here you can:
- View and adjust your network settings.
- View and update the time clock's software.
- View the device ID.
- Upload the time clock's database.
- View and adjust the System Settings.
- Tap the Power icon to log out.
